Since many of you here on MHWE may not be used to writing up your matches, I will give you some guidelines at what to do and how to do so with some examples.
(1):: First you post your entrance, possibly sticking with one. You should describe your entrance focusing on the following.
(i)- How you come out;
e.g. Pyro, Crowd Reaction, Actions, etc.
(ii)- Entrance music and titantron;
e.g. Lyrics, Videos on titantron, etc.
(iii)- What you are wearing;
e.g. Championship Gold, Tights, Your new character merchandise, etc.
(iv)- Announcer;
e.g. Height, Weight, Billing Location, Nicknames, etc.
(v)- Commentary;
e.g. Commentators talking about their favourite to win, recent actions, etc.
(vi)- In Ring Actions;
e.g. Climb onto turnbuckles, Taunts, etc.
(2):: If you wish, you can write a promo trash-talking or building a fued.
(3):: Once the other member has posted their entrance you may begin the matchup.
Start with the bell. Try to keep high impact moves late in the match to keep it as realistic as possible. You don't see Pedigree's and people going through tables early in a match, do you? Describe each wrestler's reaction and actions trying to add detail so the other person can picture what is happening.
Whilst doing this, add a few lines of commentary in between paragraphs of role-playing. They could be talking about a recent move or who they think might win. Be modest.
Write up between 3-6 paragraphs of wrestling in each post after the entrance with each paragraph holding 4-8 lines. Their is no limit to the post.
Once the match has started to get going, you can get onto other moves like high-power or aerial moves. You can mention pins breaking up and wrestler reactions. Put in a few trademark moves.
((Remember to use your opponent's and your own move-set. Don't move too far away from the contract. We don't mind you using a few different moves now and again as long as they match the wrestler type.))
Once the match is a couple of posts each in, you can look upon putting in a finisher or two and mention escaping significant submissions or escaping finishers. Perhaps knocking both wrestlers out and begin counting them out.
Stick to the superstar personality. Heel fighters will try illegal moves whilst the Referee is looking away whilst Faces will grow stronger upon the chanting of the fans.
In cases of speciality matches, improvise to suit the match and use the weapons and environment make the match more exciting. Originality is good as long as it stays realistic to an extent. We don't want to see shotguns being pulled out or bombs being blown. Mention blood and fatigue in your matches if they have gone through a long, hard match as this is another sign of reality.
Also, when doing an RP, make sure not to use your name and your opponent's name every other word. Try and use a nickname or use the size difference to describe what move was done by who rather than using names every 2 words. NEVER FINISH A MATCH IN YOUR POSTS. AN ADMIN WILL FINISH THE MATCH ACCORDING TO WHO HE THINKS WON.
These guidelines are purely tips and feel free to follow your own nose.
